*** Driver Installation Procedures ***

For first time installation:
1. Do not install the wireless card to the computer. If you have already installed the
adapter to the computer, please cancel the driver installation, power off the computer,
and remove the adapter.

2. After downloading the new driver, expand the file to local hard drive (e.g. C:\TEW401PC)
and then locate and execute the setup.exe file.

3. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the monitor utility and driver.

4. Reboot the computer as instructed by the setup program.

5. For TEW-401PC: Insert the wireless card into the computer’s PCMCIA slot.

For TEW-403PI: after the computer boots back up completely, shut down the computer, install
the wireless card in the computer’s PCI slot, and then power on the computer.

6. Follow the instruction on the screen and let Windows automatically install the driver.


*** Update Driver Procedures ***
1. Boot up the computer with the wireless adapter installed on the computer.

2. After downloading the new driver, expand the file to local hard drive (e.g. C:\TEW401PC)
and then locate and execute the setup.exe file.

3. Click on “Reinstall” and click “Next”.

4. Wait for the process to finish (this may take a minute or two).

5. After finishing the “reinstall” process, reboot the computer.

6. After the computer boots back up, follow the instruction on the screen and let Windows
automatically install the driver.


If you are using TEW-410APB and TEW-411BRP, please upgrade them with the latest firmware.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
