          PC2TV Introduction
          ------------------

The Wireless PC2TV Device is a graphics/video converter that enables you to wirelessly connect your desktop or laptop computer to any display such as a television, projector, or computer monitor. The device has its own software (Wireless PC2TV application) that allows you to control viewing options and configure predefined settings so that future connections are simple and easy.

          Connecting to your TV
          ---------------------

Connect the Wireless PC2TV Device to your TV:

Connect a DVI or VGA cable to the appropriate DVI or VGA port on the Wireless PC2TV Device.

If the display has a DVI input connector, connect the cable to the DVI port.

If the display has a VGA input connector (such as a computer monitor), connect the cable to the VGA port on the Wireless PC2TV Device.

Connect the other end of the cable to the appropriate DVI or VGA port on the television, projector, or monitor

To enable audio, connect a stereo cable from the television or monitor to the stereo jack connector on the Wireless PC2TV Device.

Insert the power supply connector to the PC2TV Device.

Select the appropriate video input (i.e., DVI or VGA) via your TV remote control. Refer to your TV User's Manual for more information on video input selection.

After connecting power, the television or monitor to which the Wireless PC2TV Device is attached shows the PC2TV splash screen. This indicates that the Wireless PC2TV Device is available and you can connect to this device using the PC software.

          Installing the PC software
          --------------------------

Insert the Installation CD and follow the instructions provided by the Setup Wizard. The Setup Wizard will request details on network access and usage

The second option is to install the PC software directly from the Display Adaptor:

NOTE : Many computer manufacturers provide their own wireless utilities. Refer to your computer documentation for more information.

To establish a wireless connection from your computer to the Wireless PC2TV Device:

Make sure the wireless network card in your computer is enabled.

Connect to the Wireless PC2TV Device just as you would any network access point by entering the SSID displayed on the PC2TV splash screen in your wireless application.

For example, using the Microsoft wireless utility in Windows XP Home Edition, enter the SSID in the Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog box. The Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog can be opened by accessing the following:

Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Network Connections.

Double-click the Wireless Network Connections icon.

Select the Advanced button, and then the Wireless Networks tab.

Once your computer detects the Wireless PC2TV Device, open a web browser.

The Software Installation download screen appears

Click on the "Download" link to start the software installation

          Connecting to the Internet
          --------------------------

Internet access is optional. It can be accomplished one of three ways:

Direct connection of a network cable to the 10/100M port on the Wireless PC2TV Device.

Connection through your computer (your computer is connected to the Internet via a network cable). No additional cables or configuration is necessary.

Wireless connection through your computer (your computer is connected to the Internet via an access point). This option requires configuring Advanced Settings in the Wireless PC2TV Device application. The PC2TV Setup Wizard provides step-by-step instructions to connect your PC to the Internet via the PC2TV Device in a completely wireless connection.

To enable access to the Internet (optional) via the Ethernet port on the PC2TV Device, connect a network cable to the 10/100M port on the Wireless PC2TV Device. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN/WAN/xDSL/Cable modem with the Internet connection.

           Improving your Video Quality
           ----------------------------

To improve video playback speed and quality, set the following items in Windows XP:

Setting Recommended Mode
----------------------------------------------------------

Battery Power Setting Utility Maximum Performance

CPU Maximum Performance

Back-light/non-related Systems Lower-power mode

Back-light / non-related Systems Increase to maximum number

Power Options Properties Maximum Performance (QuickSet)

Make sure that the AC power is applied. Some laptops do not allow the CPU to operate at full speed unless commanded to do so via the application. Also, many laptops automatically go into full-power/MAX CPU mode when the AC adapter is applied.

Changing the Wireless Network Channel:

The Wireless Network Channel Number can be changed to minimize the IP traffic collisions that can occur in some networking environments. Changing the Channel Number can improve your video performance in some conditions.

           Wireless Property Settings 802.11g
           ----------------------------------

The Intel wireless adapter is popular with laptop manufacturers. If your computer uses an Intel wireless adapter, configure the items below to maximize performance.

Power Output Max Power

Roaming Aggressiveness Low

Throughput Enhancement Enabled

To configure wireless network connection properties:

Open the Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog (via Control Panel, Network Connections, Wireless Network Connections, Advanced).

Click the Configure button for the available wireless adapter.

Configure the settings to maximize video playback performance

Change the Wireless PC2TV Device AP channel to an unused channel in the network. Refer to "Network Setting" for more information.
