Windows CE 5.0 UART Driver for PCI Express Devices V2.0
Copyright (C) 2008-2009 Oxford Semiconductor
______________________________________________________________________________

This UART driver supports operation of the native UART functionality of
Oxford Semiconductor PCI Express devices under Windows CE 5.0.

Further information on how to install and use these drivers can be found in
ReadMe files contained in the appropriate subfolders, as follows:

- The driver itself can be found in the subfolder "buspcie950", and supports
the following devices, including the expansion interface where appropriate:
    • OXPCIe952
    • OXPCIe954
    • OXPCIe958
    • OXPCIe200

- The Uart Configuration utility (SUART) is located in the folder "SUART".
SUART can be used with all of the above supported devices.

New features and other changes
______________________________________________________________________________

The following enhancements have been made to this driver since V1.0:

 • The Uart Configuration Utility (SUART) has been significantly enhanced.
The user interface has been restructured to be usable on a smaller screen.
The appearance and content of this can be modified using the Oxide Branding
utility (v3.0). This allows the SUART user interface to be branded and
   customised to individual requirements.
 • As well as modifying the SUART user interface, the Oxide Branding utility
can be used to set default values and behaviour of the UART driver.
For example the FIFO trigger levels and the supported baud rate range can
   be specified.
 • The driver now supports 1.5 stop bits.
 • Open ports will now reliably continue to transfer data after a suspend /
   resume cycle.

Known Issues
______________________________________________________________________________

 • This driver only supports the operation of one board based on an
Oxford Semiconductor PCI Express device in a system .
 • Hotplug of ExpressCard devices are not supported, as this feature is not
supported natively by Windows CE 5.0.
 • In some systems with a high number of ports (e.g. 8 or more) with all ports
actively transferring data (e.g. 7 ports at 230Kbaud and 1 port at 3 Mbaud),
very occasional data loss has been seen on the high baud rate port. Issue
appears to be more prevalent when AMD x86 processors or baud rate remapping
are used. When using lower baud rates, fewer ports (then including baud
rates up to 15Mbaud), or when using other systems, this problem is not seen.
