Section 1 Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This QNX 6.x driver supports Moxa's Intelligent multiport boards (CP-204J,
C218Turbo, C218Turbo/PCI, C320Turbo, C320Turbo/PCI). The driver can handle a
maximum of 128 ports if 4 C320Turbo Series multiport boards are installed.
For more hardware installation details, please refer to the user's manuals for
these boards. Moxa's driver provides the following enhancements compared to
standard QNX serial drivers:
. Supports up to 128 ports in the QNX system.
. Supports speeds up to 921600 bps for the C218Turbo Series & CP-204J,
and 460800 bps for the C320Turbo Series.
. Guarantees no data lose, especially at higher speeds.
    . Less system overhead.

Section 2 Driver Installation and Removal
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before installing the driver, make sure that you know the correct settings.
This information can be found in the hardware installation section of the
user's manuals for these boards.

Driver Installation
-------------------
Extract the zip archive and copy the driver to /sbin:

	# unzip driv_qnx6_intellio_v1.0_build_XXXXXXXX.zip
	# cp devc-miser /sbin

If you want start driver at system bootup, add the following line to the file
/etc/rc.d/rc.local.

	devc-miser

Driver Removal
--------------

To remove the MOXA QNX6 device driver, just kill the running process and
delete the driver file from the /sbin directory.

Section 3 Driver Management
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The syntex of the driver command:
	devc-miser [options] [[module,addr] ...]

The driver can detect the configuration of PCI devices. But for ISA devices,
the configuration is given by command line arguments. The value of the module
arguments is either 'c320' or 'c218' for the C320Turbo or C218Turbo ISA boards.
For example, the command

	# devc-miser c218,c8000 c218,cc000

drives two C218 devices with memory bank addresses of 0xc8000 and 0xcc000.

The driver has the following command line options:
	-h	display this usage message
	-m	disable baud rate mapping
	-t	detecting mode
	-v	display version

A driver running in detection mode first verifies devices and then exits.

If baud rate mapping is enabled (default), the following symbols are mapped:
	B50	to	230400
	B75	to	460800
	B110	to	921600

Run the driver with the -m option to disable baud rate mapping.

Since the driver is a user space application, control the driver just as you
would do for any normal process. For example, to stop the driver, just kill
the process.

Note:
You should make sure that only one instance of the driver is running at any
given time.

Section 4 Port Naming Convention
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The device name of the Moxa serial ports are /dev/miser[0-127]. If four C218
boards are installed, the device names for the first board's parts are
/dev/miser0 to /dev/miser7, the device names of the second board's ports are
/dev/miser8 to /dev/miser15, and so on.
