1.  SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION

1.1 Description 

    This software is designed to install the ORiNOCO Wireless 
    Client adapter in Microsoft Windows 2000, and XP 
    operating systems.
    
    
1.2 Software Components

    The software for ORiNOCO Wireless Client comprises
    the following components:

2.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Operating System
    The software and/or drivers provided with this ZIP file
    can be installed on the operating systems Windows 2000, 
    and XP operating systems.
    
2.2 Free Disk Space
    To install and run the software you will need 10 MB of 
    free disk space for the whole installer.

3.  NEW IN THIS RELEASE

3.1 Release has passed WHQL cetification and has a digital certificate, 
    so a user will no longer see Microsoft's notice about a potential 
    compatibility issue.
3.2 Version PCU_4.1.0.161/Driver_4.0.0.167.  (2005/03/14)
3.3 Fix ACS crash issue.  (2005/03/17)
3.4 Update using the same setting as last install will now 
    be shown when prior-install package is of the same version
    to current running setup.  (2005/03/18)
3.5 Fix the issue that setup will suddenly disappear on 
    uninstallation.  (2005/03/21)
3.6 WZC can now be activated if the end user select WZC for
    connection controller during installation.  (2005/03/22)
3.7 Fix the default profile contains number after its name.

3.8 Eliminate troubleshooting item in tray menu.  (2005/04/14)
3.9 Update with the latest online help.  (2005/04/14)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
