  (CAN)       Resolved the issue that OS hangs up, when only CAN tx side runs 
              but rx side is not up.
  (DMA)       Updated the version number.
  (GbE)       Resolved the issue that GbE driver may disturb sleep or 
              hibernation, if the ethernet cable is connected.
              Resolved the issue that half duplex throughput is low.
  (GPIO)      Updated the version number.
  (I2C)       Updated the version number.
  (IEEE1588)  Updated the version number.
  (PacketHub) Resolved the issue that GbE driver can not read MAC address 
              correctly, if a BIOS enables ADE bit of Extended ROM Base 
              Address Register in PCI space register when OS boots up.
  (SATA)      Updated the version number.
  (SPI)       Updated the version number.
  (UART)      Resolved the issue that UART can not send data, when UART cable 
              is not connected.
  (USBC)       Improved the control procedure.
 (Other)      "No driver" inf file is included in the installer. When at
	      least one driver is installed, this is installed automatically.

Description:

 PCH EG20T SATA does not support an IDE interface that is compatible with
Legacy. Windows XP* SP3 does not contains the required SATA AHCI 
driver natively hence you must follow the below instructions to install the 
PCH EG20T SATA AHCI driver during the installation of Windows XP* SP3. 

 1. Copy the files in 'FD_Inst_WinXP' in the SATA driver package to the root of
   a Floppy Disk.
	iohsata.cat 
	iohsata.inf 
	iohsata.sys 
	txtsetup.oem

 2. Insert the floppy disk prepared in step 1 into the USB floppy drive and 
   connect it to the  target machine via USB port.

 3. Insert Windows XP* SP3 installer into the CD-ROM and boot from the CD-ROM
  to kick start Windows XP* SP3 installation

 4. Press <F6> to add further SCSI/RAID drivers when prompted during the very
  early stage of windows installation.

 5. Press <S> to add an additional SCSI device. 

 6. Select the correct driver (PCH EG20T SATA AHCI Controller for Windows XP) 
   and press <ENTER> to continue the installation. This will install the 
   PCH EG20T SATA AHCI controller driver.

 7. Finish the WindowsXP installation according to your needs.
 
 Some USB Floppy drivers are not supported during F6 installation. See 
details at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916196 

 WinXP installation failed with a couple of SATA DVD ROM Drive. 
BSOD (0x7B) occurs after drivers are loaded, and just before drives 
are partitioned.

Driver Installation during Windows XP environment:

  Execute EG20T_WinXP_WePOS_Package_230.exe in this folder.
  The driver will be automatically installed in your computer.

    Notes 1: "230" shows the version of a package.
    Notes 2: If you upgrade this driver from version 2.1.0 or older, 
	     you should perform uninstall procedure and reboot the OS after that.
    Notes 3: If you upgrade this driver from version 2.2.0 you can 
	     directly install version 2.3.0 drivers without performing the unstall
	     procedure.

  If this driver has already installed, it is not necessary 
  to install again unless you would like to upgrade to later driver version.

Driver Uninstallation:

  Uninstall the driver through "Add or Remove Programs" in Control Panel.

  However, since SATA device is a boot device of Windows XP,
  this driver is not encouraged to be uninstalled from your system.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
