Requirements ------------ * Accton Driver Diskettes Installation Procedure ---------------------- 1. Insert the Driver Diskette in your floppy drive A: or B: 2. Check the contents of the \PKTDRV subdirectory. It should contain the VLNWPD.COM file. 3. Load the packet driver. From DOS, type the following command and press <Enter>: VLNWPD 0X60 0XD000 The syntax for the VLNWPD command follows: VLNWPD [-d] [-e] [-n] [-w] [-u] [-h] <PD_INT_NO> [MEM_BASE] [IRQ] [IO_BASE] The parameters enclosed in square and angle brackets are optional. The following describes each one: -d delay driver to initial LAN card -e you can exchange the running sequence of EII & 802.3 -n convert ETHERNET_II header to IEEE 802.3 header -w let packet driver run under WINDOWS -u unload the packet driver -h on line HELP PD_INT_NO packet driver INT entry (0x60 to 0x80) IRQ IRQ setting 2, 3 (Default), 4, 5, 10, 11 ,12, 15 IO_BASE I/O base 300 (Default), 320, 340, 360 MEM_BASE SHARE RAM memory address D000 (Default), D400, D800, DC00 C000, C400, C800, CC00 Important note: The IRQ and IO_BASE settings should be the same as the adapter's hardware configuration. If you are using the default adapter settings, you may omit typing these values. Example ------- The following command line loads the Packet Driver for Accton's EN1204 at software interrupt 60h, at I/O address 300, at hardware interrupt 3, at shared RAM address D000. VLNWPD 0x60 0XD000 0x3 0x300 or VLNWPD 0x60 Note that the default I/O address is 300, IRQ is 3. The software interrupt should always be preceded by "0x" ==End==Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
