Adaptec OS/2 and Unix group 12/11/95 DOS BBS / UNIX Driver Disk Conversion THIS PROCEDURE ASSUMES THAT ANY CONFIGURATION OF ANY UNIX SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE TO PREPARE THE "Manager Set" FLOPPY DISK 1. Copy this DOS file to a DOS formatted floppy using the DOS copy command (any size disk, 3.5" DSHD 1.44 preferred). 2. Boot the UNIX computer and change to the /tmp directory (single-user maintenance mode is preferred, otherwise login as user root). 3. Transfer the file to the UNIX hard disk. Use the appropriate UNIX copy command. In SCO Xenix, UNIX or ODT, the command is: doscp <d:>2920V12.DDZ /tmp/2920v12.dd.Z 4. Format a fresh UNIX floppy (size: 3.5" DSHD 1.44). In SCO Xenix, UNIX or Open DeskTop (ODT), the command is: format /dev/rfd0135ds18 5. Uncompress the file. Use the UNIX command: uncompress 2920v12.dd.Z This will convert the file to 2920v12.dd 6. Copy the image file to the disk: In SCO Xenix, UNIX or Open DeskTop (ODT), the command is: dd if=2920v12.dd of=/dev/rfd0135ds18 In USL UNIX (UnixWare), the command is: dd if=2920v12.dd of=/dev/rdsk/f0q18dt 7. Use this disk for "normal" installation/upgrade purposes per standard documentation. In SCO UNIX or ODT, type: link at the Boot: prompt, use the driver name of fdhbpkg and follow the screen instructions.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
