To update the Adaptec RAID controller to the code enclosed within this archive, please
follow the instructions below.

I2OBIOS.162 - BIOS version 1.62 for Adaptec RAID controllers
SMOR0079.112 - Storage Manager On ROM version 1.12 Build 79 for Adaptec RAID controllers
CHNLV1_1.NVR - NVRAM Image version 1.1 for Adaptec RAID controllers

1. During the system POST, access SMOR on the Adaptec RAID controller by hitting
CONTROL-A when prompted by the I2OBIOS Banner.

2. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, highlight the controller you wish to update in the left pane.

3. Hit ALT-A to select the ACTION pull down menu.

4. Select FLASH.

5. Direct SMOR where to find the flash files (typically from floppy).

6. Flash in the file you want to update.

7. Repeat Steps 3 thru 6 for each file you want to update. You do not need to reboot
between each flash operation.

8. After you've completed all the flash updating, reboot the system.

Other Flash Update Methods
Alternatively, you can flash in updated BIOS and SMOR files with Storage
Manager or RAIDUTIL. However, neither of those utilities support the flashing of the
NVRAM image file. SMOR must be used to flash in the NVRAM image file.
