How to install SMI VGA driver in Windows 2000

1. Insert the Notebook support CD.
2. Double click [My Computer], double click [Control Panel],
double click [System].
3. Select [Hardware] Tab, then click on [Device Manager].
4. Double click on [Video Controller (VGA Compatible)].
5. Select [Driver] Tab, then click on [Update Driver].
6. Click on [Next>] twice.
7. Please only Choice [Specify a location] for Optional search locations:
,then click on [Next>]
8. Click on [Browse...] to locate the VGA driver from the support CD,
the path is: \Vga\Win2000, then click [Open].
9. Click on [OK] to confirm Install From Disk.
10. Click on [Next>] to confirm smisetup.inf for new driver.
11. Click on [Yes] to confirm Change Display.
12. Click [Finish] to finish install.
13. you can go back into the Display applet and select alternate screen resolutions
and color depths, then restart system.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
