   Installing LAN driver procedure on Microsoft Windows NT4.0 :
   -------------------------------------------------------------

After putting the adapter in the computer, you need to configure it
under Windows NT40.

1  Double-click the Network icon in the Control Panel.

2. Click on "Yes" when Network Configuration windows appeared.

3. Click on "Next"

4. Click on "Select from list..."

5. Click on "Have Disk"

6. Please key-in "D:\LAN\NT40" (D is your CDROM drive)

7. Click "OK" when system Select OEM Option "Realtek RTL8139(A/B/C/8130) 
	PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter".

8. Click on "Next".

9. Click on Network protocol you need to install before you Click "Next" button.

10. Click "Next" twice.

11. System will copy some files from your source NT CDROM, please Key-in the correct path.

12. The screen will show Duplex mode windows by RTL8139.SYS driver. 
    The default value is "auto" so that the RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter 
    and its driver RTL8139.SYS will auto-detect the line speed, 10 Mb or 100Mb, 
    while the RTL8139.SYS is loading. The other values, "10" or "100", are only 
    used when you want to forced RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter to 10Mb or 
    100Mb. please click on "Continue" to contine setup.

13. Click on "Next" Twice.

14. NT will then perform the binding process.  If any additional network
    software options were installed,  you may be  prompted for  specific
    information for these packages.

15. Click on "Finish" and click on "Yes" to restart system and finish setting.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
