2. Restrictions

2-1. Common restrictions in all the models
    1: Before installing TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway, uninstall the current version of
       TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway. Please refer to Network Administrator Guide for installation
       and uninstallation of TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway.
    2: NetWare 5.0 does not support TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway.
    3: TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway does not work with NetWare 6.0 SP2 or former versions.
       Please apply SP3 or later.
    4: NetWare 6.5 with SP6 does not work with TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway.
       Please use SP5.
    5: NetWare 5.1 with SP8 does not work with TOSHIBA NDPS Gateway.
       Please download patch (tcp587i) from following URL.
       http://support.novell.com/servlet/filedownload/uns/pub/tcp587i.exe/

2-2. Restrictions on NDPS Printer Agent
    It may take a few minutes to obtain the equipment information when Printer
    Agent is being created.
    Also, when the equipment configuration cannot be obtained, the illustration
    of the equipment with console finisher is displayed even though the finisher
    is not installed. Please push gRefreshh button to re-obtain the proper configuration.

* The above restrictions are for the Printer Agent and not for the configuration of
  the driver installed into a client PC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
