File Downloader Version 3.1.68.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Issues
======

1. Accessing performance may decline when the e-Filing Box has many documents. We recommend you to decrease the number of documents by separating folders or boxes.

2. Performance of deleting pages from a document may decline when that document contains a large number of pages.

3. Retrieving a color image will require huge memory. Performance may decline or imaging may end in failure when imaging is performed with low memory. Necessary space of memory for color image is approx. 100 MB for A4/LT or 200 MB for A3/LD in 600dpi. The recommended memory size for the client PC is 256 MB or more to retrieve A4/LT pages, or 512 MB or more to retrieve A3/LD pages.

4. On Windows Vista, please do not select "Desktop" at the top in the dialog box while saving an e-Filing document on the desktop in a user's computer.
You can save the e-Filing document on the desktop in a user's computer if the following path is selected "Desktop"->"User's computer name"->"Desktop."

5.When us use SNMP V3, be sure to start Local Discovery and configure SNMP V3 settings after updating software via CD V1.00/V1.01/V1.02 for the e-STUDIO6530C/e-STUDIO4520C series.

Troubleshooting
===============

1. Cannot Find the MFP

[Problem Description]
Cannot find the MFP even when the Local Discovery or Network Discovery feature is used.

[Corrective Action]
Confirm the following:
- The MFP and your PC are correctly connected to the TCP/IP network.
- The default gateway setting is correctly set up if the MFP is connected to a different subnet.

[NOTE]
- FileDownloader do not support the GL-1010 or GL-1020 controller. These controllers cannot be found by the Local Discovery function.

2. Cannot Connect to the MFP Found by the Local Discovery

[Problem Description]
The Local Discovery finds the MFP, but you cannot connect to it.

[Corrective Action]
1. Make sure Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later is installed.
2. Make sure the Proxy settings on the Microsoft Internet Explorer have been made correctly so that your PC can connect to the MFP.
3. Make sure Microsoft Internet Explorer is not in the off-line mode. If it is in off-line mode, change it to the on-line mode.

[NOTE]
- Connection to the MFP may fail when too many PCs connect to the MFP at the same time.
- Please try to connect to the MFP again later.

3. Saved as Single Page Files Even Though You Select Multi Page
   TIFF Format

[Problem Description]
When storing a document in a Multi-page TIFF format using the File Downloader, the document is stored in single-page.

[Corrective Action]
The FileDownloader cannot save the color and black/white mixed document as a multi page TIFF file. In that case, the FileDownloader saves the document as single page files. In this case, a color document is stored in JPEG format. If you want to save the document as one file, save it as a PDF file.

4. Cannot Open TIFF File Saved Using FileDownloader

[Problem Description]
Cannot open the TIFF file that has been saved using the FileDownloader.

[Corrective Action]
When you select a TIFF format to save the color/grayscale document using the FileDownloader, the document will be saved as TIFF file with JPEG compression. You cannot open the file using an application that does not support the TIFF file with JPEG compression. In that case, save the document as a JPEG file or use the TWAIN driver to capture the document.

5. Cannot Change Resolution by Shrink To Half

[Problem Description]
Even though you enable the Shrink to Half function, the	resolution of an image that was acquired is not changed.

[Corrective Action]
The Shrink to Half function is available only for 600x600dpi documents that are stored in e-Filing by copy and print operations. This function cannot reduce the resolution of the image that is saved by scan and fax operation. You can change the resolution of the image in the filing box, by faxing or scanning it again at your desired resolution and storing it in the filing box, or by changing the resolution in the application.

6. Refresh Button Keeps Returning Error

[Problem Description]
Refresh action does not reconnect to MFP and keeps returning error.

[Corrective Action]
This behavior is caused by mismatch between the MFP status and the driver internal status. To solve this problem, please select the MFP again by selecting "Box Select"->"Select e-STUDIO" or restart the driver.

7. Cannot acquire Document when a message "Error In Getting The Page Data" appears

[Problem Description]
During acquiring a document using the FileDownloader, a message "Error In Getting The Page Data" appears, and you cannot acquire the document.

[Corrective Action]
The MFP is in a busy state or the inconsistency occurs in the internal state. Take some time before you retrieve a document again. If you still cannot retrieve the document, reboot the MFP.
