                Microsoft Windows 98 Installation
               for CardBus HPNA 2.0 32-bit PC Card


  Follow the steps to install the CardBus HPNA 2.0 32-bit PC Card driver:

    1. Start your PC, then insert the CardBus HPNA 2.0 32-bit PC Card into
       an available PC Card slot in your PC.

    2. After starting Win98, the PCI Ethernet Controller will be detected 
       automatically, then the "Add New Hardware Wizard" window appears,
       and Win98 displays the message:

            "PCI Ethernet Controller"

    3. Place the CardBus HPNA 2.0 32-bit PC Card Installation CD Disc
       into CD-ROM drive.

    4. Click the Next button in the Add New Hardware Wizard window.
       Mark the "Search for the best driver for your device.(Recommended)" 
       item.

    5. Click the Next button, then mark the "CD-ROM drive" item. Win98 will
       start to search the CD-ROM drive for network driver, and Win98 will 
       display the following message:

            "Linksys HomeLink 10M Integrated PC Card"

    6. Click Next button, then the Win98 starts to copy the CardBus HPNA
       2.0 32-bit PC Card driver to the user's hard disk.

    7. Click Finish button and Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
