INTRODUCTION: ------------- iSCSIUtl is a utility program for upgrading the iSCSI FLASH ROM on iSCSI capable Intel PRO/1000 network adapters. When run with the -UP command line parameter iSCSIUtl will upgrade the FLASH ROM of all iSCSI Intel PRO/1000 network adapters in the system. In order to support iSCSI connection failover all network adapters in the system must be programmed with the same version of the iSCSI ROM image. iSCSIUtl will also allow the user to enable or disable the iSCSI option ROM on specific network adapters. iSCSIUtl will display a list of all iSCSI capable network adapters in the system when it is run with no command-line parameters. GENERAL OPTIONS -HELP or -? Displays command line help and exits. -EXITCODES Displays the exit codes returned to the OS by iSCSIUtl and exits. -IMAGEVERSION or -IV Displays the version number of the iSCSI FLASH image stored within iSCSIUtl and exits. FLASH PROGRAMMING OPTIONS -UP Programs the Intel iSCSI Boot ROM image in DOS environment into the FLASH ROM of all iSCSI boot capable Intel PRO/1000 network adapters in the system. If programming with the -ALL command, preexisting PXE/RPL FLASH ROM in network adapters will be overwritten. If -AUTO or -QUIET is not specified, the user is prompted to write over the existing image before upgrading. -AUTO or -QUIET Runs iSCSIUtl without asking for user intervention. This option is used with -UP option. -SAVE Saves iSCSI Boot settings in the EEPROM to a disk file on the selected iSCSI-capable port. Need to specify a file name by -FILE parameter. WARNING: For security reasons it is recommended that CHAP settings are disabled when using save/restore. -RESTORE Restores a previously-saved iSCSI Boot settings on the selected iSCSI-capable port. Need -FILE parameter to specify the saved data. -FILE Specifies a file name for -SAVE or -RESTORE parameters by -FILE=[filename]. POWER MANAGEMENT OPTIONS -WOLDISABLE or -WOLD Disables Wake On Lan (WOL) functionality on the selected NIC. -WOLENABLE or -WOLE Enables Wake On Lan (WOL) functionality on the selected NIC. ADAPTER SELECTION OPTIONS -ALL Selects all NICs found in the system. -NIC=XX Selects a specific NIC in the system. Invalid to use with -UP parameter. -BLINK Blinks the LED on the selected NIC for ten seconds. ADAPTER FLASH ENABLE/DISABLE OPTIONS -FLASHENABLE or -FE Enables iSCSI boot ROM on the selected network adapter port. At least one iSCSI Boot capable port in the system must be enabled in order to use iSCSI Boot. -FLASHDISABLE or -FD Disables the iSCSI boot ROM on the selected network adapter port. The FLASH must be disabled on all iSCSI Boot capable ports in the system to stop iSCSI Boot from loading during system start up.Download Driver Pack
