1. Introduction

This Ethernet ODI driver for NetWare 3.12/4.0x Server conforms to Novell
NetWare 386 Public Domain Open Data-Link Interface (ODI), a specification
that is jointly designed by Novell and Apple. It applies to the NetWare
   3.12/4.0x servers.

2. Contents of the Subdirectory

RETH.LAN NetWare 3.12/4.0x ODI Server Driver for the ISA
                       Ethernet Card.

3. Installation

   1) Install and configure the Ethernet card on your ISA PC system by fol-
lowing the procedure in your jumperless Ethernet installation manual.

   2) Install NetWare v3.12/v4.0x Server according to the manual.

   3) Insert the Distribution Diskette into drive A (if you use a different
disk drive, substitute the appropriate drive letter in the following
      procedure).

   4) At the DOS prompt, type as follows:

            CD \NETWARE
            SERVER

   5) On the server console, load RETH.LAN. You may specify the frame type
and the slot number. For example:

       LOAD A:RETH.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_802.2

   6) Bind IPX to RETH by typing the following command:

               BIND IPX RETH

   7) If you want to load RETH.LAN from the hard disk directly in the future,
set up a workstation to connect to this server, then copy RETH.LAN
from the Distribution Diskette to the subdirectory SYS:\SYSTEM on the
      server.
