1. Introduction
This Ethernet ODI driver for NetWare 3.12/4.0x Server conforms to Novell
NetWare 386 Public Domain Open Data-Link Interface (ODI), a specification
that is jointly designed by Novell and Apple. It applies to the NetWare
3.12/4.0x servers.
2. Contents of the Subdirectory
RETH.LAN NetWare 3.12/4.0x ODI Server Driver for the ISA
Ethernet Card.
3. Installation
1) Install and configure the Ethernet card on your ISA PC system by fol-
lowing the procedure in your jumperless Ethernet installation manual.
2) Install NetWare v3.12/v4.0x Server according to the manual.
3) Insert the Distribution Diskette into drive A (if you use a different
disk drive, substitute the appropriate drive letter in the following
procedure).
4) At the DOS prompt, type as follows:
CD \NETWARE
SERVER
5) On the server console, load RETH.LAN. You may specify the frame type
and the slot number. For example:
LOAD A:RETH.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_802.2
6) Bind IPX to RETH by typing the following command:
BIND IPX RETH
7) If you want to load RETH.LAN from the hard disk directly in the future,
set up a workstation to connect to this server, then copy RETH.LAN
from the Distribution Diskette to the subdirectory SYS:\SYSTEM on the
server.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
