1. Introduction

This Ethernet ODI driver for NetWare 3.11 Server conforms to Novell Net-
Ware 386 Public Domain Open Data-Link Interface (ODI), a specification
that is jointly designed by Novell and Apple. It applies to NetWare 3.11
   servers.

2. Contents of the Subdirectory

RETH.LAN NetWare 3.11 ODI Server Driver for the Ethernet Card.

3. Installation

   1) Install and configure the Ethernet card on your ISA PC system, fol-
lowing the procedure in your jumperless Ethernet installation manual.

   2) Install NetWare 3.11 Server according to the manual.

   3) Insert the Distribution Diskette into drive A: (or drive B. If drive
B is your option, replace A: with B: in the following procedure).

   4) At the DOS prompt, type the following commands:

            CD \NETWARE
            SERVER

   5) On the server console, load RETH.LAN. You may specify the frame type
and the slot number. For example:

       LOAD A:\NETWARE\ODI\SVRODI\ODIV2\RETH.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_802.3

   6) Bind IPX to RETH by typing the following command:

               BIND IPX RETH

   7) If you want to load RETH.LAN from the hard disk directly in the future,
setup a workstation to connect to this server, then copy RETH.LAN from
the Distribution Diskette to the subdirectory SYS:\SYSTEM on the server.
