Installation 1. The necessary files extract to the C:\Cabs folder and create a sub-folder using the name of the driver part number. 2. From the Start menu, click Run. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\D00356-001-001\Setup.exe. Click OK. 3. Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Removal Note: As this driver is required for your docking device to operate properly, it is not recommended to remove it. However, for troubleshooting purposes the removal steps are listed below. 1. From the Start menu, point to Programs, PL-2303 USB-Serial Driver, and then click Uninstall. 2. Files remove. 3. In the removal dialog box, click Yes, restart my computer now, and then click Finish. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, download the file again, and then perform the installation steps for a second time. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
