Overview



These are the Windows XP network drivers for Gateway M210, NX200 Series, MX3000 Series and 3000 Series notebook computers.





Identification



If you have a Gateway M210, NX200 Series, MX3000 Series, or 3000 Series notebook computer and are running Windows XP, install these drivers.





Installation



1.  The files extract to the C:\Cabs\D00190-001-001 folder.



2.  From the Start menu, click or tap Control Panel. 



3.  In Control Panel, click or tap Performance and Maintenance.



4.  In Performance and Maintenance, click or tap the System icon.



5.  In the System Properties dialog box, click or tap the Hardware tab, and then tap Device Manager.



6.  In Device Manager, double-click or tap Other Devices, and then double-click or tap Ethernet Controller.



7.  In the Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, tap the Driver tab, and then click or tap update driver.



8.  In the Welcome dialog box, click or tap the Install from a list or specific location box, and then click or tap Next.



9.  Click or tap Include this location in the search, and then enter the path C:\Cabs\D00190-001-001.  Click or tap Next.



10.  Click or tap Finish.





Removal



1.  From the Start menu, click or tap Control Panel. 



2.  In Control Panel, click or tap Performance and Maintenance.



3.  In Performance and Maintenance, click or tap the System icon.



4.  In the System Properties dialog box, click or tap the Hardware tab, and then click or tap Device Manager.



5.  In Device Manager, double-click or tap Network Adapters, and then double-click or tap Broadcom 440x 10/100  

Integrated Controller.



6.  In the Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller Properties dialog box, click or tap the Driver tab, and then click or tap Uninstall.



7.  In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click or tap OK.



8.  In the System Settings Change window, tap Yes to restart your computer.





Troubleshooting



If you are having problems with your driver, reinstall it by following the installation steps listed in this document. If the problem persists, remove the driver using the steps in the Removal section of this document, and then reinstall it.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
