Overview

This document describes the steps necessary to flash the MegaRAID 150-6 RAID card with firmware version 713^.


Installation

1.  Boot the server from an MS-DOS bootable floppy diskette, CD, or flash drive.

2.  Execute MFLASH.EXE, and then follow the on-screen prompts.


Troubleshooting

If you have trouble flashing the BIOS, try the process again following the steps listed in the Installation section of this document.  If you are still unable to flash the BIOS, verify that you have a MegaRAID 150-6 RAID card installed.  If this process still fails, contact technical support.


Reason for Update

This update corrects issues with servers with 4 GB or more of memory under heavy I/O possibly experiencing error screens.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
