We appreciate your choosing our ventura flat panel monitor.
The following is an explanation of how to use the monitor with Windows
95/98.

Remark: Windows NT dose not support Plug and Play (PnP) 
and Display Information File (INF).

1) Microsoft Windows 95/98
2) Plug and Play-compatible computer and video graphics board
3) Plug and Play-compatible video cable (The cable provided is compliant.)

Depending on your system's configuration, you might need to install 
the ventura Display Information File (INF). 
When you install the INF file, follow these instructions.

Installation.
*******************
The INF file contains information on display specifications such as 
frequencies, resolutions, power management, ICM color profile and other 
items supported by the flat panel monitor. 
However, Windows 95 does not support ICM color profile.

To insert the monitor in the Windows 95/98 monitor list, please follow the 
procedure below.

1) After connecting the monitor to the computer, start Windows 95/98.
2) Click the "Start" button and select "Settings". 
	Now select "Control Panel".
3) Double click the icon "Display" in the "Control Panel" and then click 
     the tab labelled "Settings".
4) The next step is different in Windows 95 and Windows 98. Read the
     information on the screen carefully.

For Windows 95.
Click "Change Display Type". Then click the "Change" button in the 
"Monitor Type" area of the window.Alternatively, click on 
"Advanced Properties", then on the tab labelled "Monitor" and finally on 
the "Change" button.

For Windows 98.
Click "Advanced...". Next, click the tab labelled "Monitor" and then the 
"Change" button. 
Click the "Next" button in the subsequent window. After selecting the button 
marked "Display a list of all the drivers...", click the "Next" button.

5) Click the "Have Disk" button in the window.
6) Insert the INF disk into the floppy disk drive.
7) At "Copy manufacturer's files from:" in the window "Install From Disk",
    type in the correct floppy disk drive into which you have inserted the 
    INF disk ( for example, A:\ ) and select "OK".
8) After the download from the disk is completed, the window "Select 
    Device" appears again. Select your monitor model number from the 
    "Models:" menu. 
9) Click "OK".
10) If the window "Copying Files" pops up stating that "The file '***.icm' 
    on (Unknown) could not be found.", click "OK" again. 
    Copying will be completed.
11) The window "Change Display Type" will appear with the selected model 
    number at "Monitor Type".
12) If the selected model number is correct, click the "Close" button.
13) Click "OK" in the window "Settings" and close the window "Display 
    Properties".
14) Take the disk out of the floppy disk drive.
15) Restart Windows 95/98 in order to put the new settings into effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
