POS for .Net Driver for Line Displays with USB Port =================================================== 2-25-2008 This POS for .net driver supports Logic Controls OPOS USB pole displays and table displays. Following models are supported: LD9900U PD3900U PD6900U LD9900UP PD3900UP PD6900UP LT9900U TD3900U LT9900UP TD3900UP LD9800U PD3800U LD9800UP PD3800UP LT9800U TD3800U LT9800UP TD3800UP Please make sure that the line display being used is one of the above models. This version of POS for .net drier only supports USB interface line displays. For models PD3800, TD3800, LD9800 and LT9800, make sure that LCI command set is loaded into the display. The following instructions are for installing Logic Controls POS for .Net drivers for USB Line Displays. There are two types of USB drivers available for Logic Controls USB display - Device Name driver and Virtual COM port driver. The device name driver use a specific name (\\.\LCLD9, \\.\LCPD6\, and \\.\LCPD3\) to access the pole display directly. Install this USB driver in order to work with the POS for .Net driver. DRIVER INSTALLATION ------------------- 1. Download Microsoft Point of Service for .NET from Microsoft website and install. http://download.microsoft.com 2. Download the pole display USB driver from Logic Controls website and install with Device Name driver option. Refer to instructions in the USB driver package for details. http://www.logiccontrols.com/web/sd.htm 3. Connect LD9900U, PD6900U, or PD3900U USB pole display to the USB port of computer. 4. Invoke Windows Device Manager to verify that the USB driver has been installed properly under Universal Serial Bus controllers with device names \\.\LCLD9\, \\.\LCPD6\ or \\.\LCPD3\. 5. Double click on "PosForNetLDSetup.msi" in this POS for .Net driver package to start installation of the driver. The driver will be installed silently into the following folder: c:\Program Files\Logic Controls\USB LineDisplay POS_for_dot_net\ The driver will be registered in the Widows registry at entry \HKLM\SOFTWARE\POSfor.NET\ControlAssemblies. 6. Invoke CclTestApp.exe in c:\Program Files\Microsoft Point Of Service\SDK Samples\Sample Application\ folder to test and verify installation of the POS for .NET driver. P.S. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
