1. turn off PC power.



2. plug LCI Programmable Magnetic Stripe Reader in PS/2 port, and turn PC power on.



3. double click <install.bat> to install device driver and utility

   software package quitely, and wait until the installation completes.

   or

   double click <LciMr_x**.msi> directly to install device driver and

   utility software package, and follow the instructions step by step

   to finish installation.



4. restart PC after the installation finished.



5. use Device Manager to check if the device driver installed

   correctly under Keyboards class.



*** there are two installation programs for x86 and x64 of Windows XP/Vista/7.

*** the correct one must be used if <LciMr_x**.msi> is chosen, or the installation will fail.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
