LOGIC CONTROLS OPOS CASH DRAWERS ================================ 6/13/2008 V2.0 This OPOS driver support Logic Controls OPOS model cash drawers. Following models are supported: CR1003 CR1006 CR1603 CR1606 CR1803 CR1806 CR3003 Please make sure that the cash drawer being used is one of the above models. These cash drawers come with a programming utility for setting up the drawer opening codes. To work with the OPOS driver, they have to be programmed to OPOS mode with the programming utilities. If you have the USB interface cash drawers, please install USB driver first before running the programming utilities and installing the OPOS drivers. For smart serial drawers, make sure the COM port number used is identified correctly and the DC power adapter is plugged into an AC outlet. SETTING UP CASH DRAWER TO WORK WITH OPOS DRIVERS ------------------------------------------------ The cash drawer has to be programmed to OPOS mode to work with the OPOS drivers. 1. With Windows Explorer, double click on the file "CRedit" to start the utility software. 2. Select COM port name on the utility start up screen and click OK. 3. Check the checkbox for "OPOS/JPOS". 4. Click "Write to CR" button to write settings to the cash drawer. Note: After OPOS mode is enabled, the drawer can only be opened through the OPOS driver. It will no longer response to the normal opening codes. OPOS DRIVER INSTALLATION ------------------------ 1. Copy all driver files into a harddisk folder for installation. 2. Click on file <setup.exe> to start installation and follow instructions on the screen to go through installation. 3. After installation, you have to setup the OPOS driver by running OPOS_CashDrawer.exe. Start "OPOS_CashDrawer.exe" under Start Menu -> Programs -> CashDrawerOPOS -> Setup. 4. Select appropriate port and then setup LDN (Logic Device Name). Click "Add new LDN". A new form will be displayed, name a new LDN. For example: "CR1". Then click OK. 5. To delete an LDN, click Delete LDN. 6. To test the cash drawer, follow the order of buttons. First click "Open", then "Claim", then "Enable Device". 7. Turn the cash drawer lock to middle vertical position and click on "Open Drawer", the drawer should be opened. 8. Click on "Release" and then "Close". Click on "Exit" to quit the program. The OPOS driver has been setup and ready to run OPOS application softwares. 9. Configure the POS application software to use the OPOS LDN that was set up above. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
