Fethcb FastEthernet CardBus PC Card Driver for RedHat 7.0 with
PCMCIA-3.1.19 Installation How-to:

  1. Login as root.
  
  2. Copy realtek_cb.o into /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/pcmcia
	"cp realtek_cb.o /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/pcmcia"

   Note: Please make sure the file name stays as realtek_cb.o, 
         if it isn't please rename it to realtek_cb.o
  
  3. Reference config contents , and add it into /etc/pcmcia/config.

     # Device driver definitions
     #
     
     device "realtek_cb"
     class "network" module "cb_enabler", "realtek_cb"
 
     #      
     # CardBus Cards 
     #

     card "10/100 CardBus Card"
     manfid 0x0000, 0x021b

  4. Restart the cardmgr -
	"/etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia restart"

  6. Logoff root.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
