POS for .Net Driver for Line Displays with Serial/Parallel Port =================================================== 2-28-2008 This POS for .net driver supports Logic Controls OPOS USB pole displays and table displays. Following models are supported: PD3800-PT PD3890-PT LD9800-PT LD9890-PT Please make sure that the line display being used is one of the above models. This version of POS for .net drier only supports Serial/Parallel interface line displays. For models PD3800, LD9800, make sure that LCI command set is loaded into the display. The following instructions are for installing Logic Controls POS for .Net drivers for Serial/Parallel Line Displays. DRIVER INSTALLATION ------------------- 1. Download Microsoft Point of Service for .NET from Microsoft website and install. http://download.microsoft.com 2. Connect the Serial/Parallel pole display to the Serial/Parallel port of computer. 3. Double click on "PDSerail&ParallelSetup.msi" in this POS for .Net driver package to start installation of the driver. The driver will be installed silently into the following folder: c:\Program Files\Logic Controls\Serial & Parallel LineDisplay POS_for_dot_net\ The driver will be registered in the Widows registry at entry \HKLM\SOFTWARE\POSfor.NET\ControlAssemblies. 4. Navigate to c:\Program Files\Logic Controls\Serial & Parallel LineDisplay POS_for_dot_net\Setup folder and invoke the corresponding batch file to set the port for the dirver. For example, invoke PD_COM1.bat for the pole display with serial port, which is connected to COM1 port; invoke PD_LPT1.bat for the pole display with parallel port, which is connected to LPT1 port. 5. Invoke CclTestApp.exe in c:\Program Files\Microsoft Point Of Service\SDK Samples\Sample Application\ folder to test and verify installation of the POS for .NET driver. P.S. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
