Supported boards:
=================
- ME-90   PC/104plus
- ME-9000 PCI series
- ME-9100 PCI series
- ME-9100 PCI-Express series
- ME-9100 cPCI series
- ME-9300 PCI (8 or 16 serial RS-232 ports)

The setup program installs the driver for ME-9100 boards
released after the 01. of December 1999. All these boards
support baud rates up to 921600.
If you have an older board you can upgrade it for free.


Supported Operating Systems:

- Windows 7      -> System driver (32bit) for ME-9000(i/p) only, see directory .\win7                         
- Windows Vista  -> System driver (32bit) for ME-9000(i/p) only, see directory .\winVista (Service Pack 1)               
- Windows XP     -> System driver, see directory .\win2000
- Windows 2000   -> System driver, see directory .\win2000
- Windows NT4    -> SYS driver package, see directory .\winnt (all service packs)
- Windows Me     -> (ME-9100 only) VxD driver package, see directory .\win9x
- Windows 98     -> (ME-9100 only) VxD driver package, see directory .\win9x (all releases)
- Windows 95     -> (ME-9100 only) VxD driver package, see directory .\win9x (all releases)
- DOS            -> (ME-9100 only) ME-SDK package, programming samples in Visual or Borland C,

Installation process:
=====================
- Follow the description in the manual
- Install the board in your PC
- Install the driver software next

Note: The dialogs of the Windows hardware wizard may differ slightly depending on the Windows version.

  Under Windows 7:
    * Before installing the board unpack the driver located in
      <DVD>:\ME-Serial\me-9x00\win7\ to your harddisk.
    * Install the board into the computer, following the description in the manual.
    * The hardware wizard asks for an appropriate driver.
    * Follow the dialogs of the Windows hardware wizard
    * Select the option "Search for a suitable driver for my device
      (recommended)" and click "Next".
    * Browse to the directory of the unpacked driver files.
      Mark the INF file for the board to be installed and confirm with "OK".

  Under Windows Vista:
    * Before installing the board unpack the driver located in
      <DVD>:\ME-Serial\me-9x00\winVista\ to your harddisk.
    * Install the board into the computer, following the description in the manual.
    * The hardware wizard asks for an appropriate driver.
    * Follow the dialogs of the Windows hardware wizard
    * Select the option "Search for a suitable driver for my device
      (recommended)" and click "Next".
    * Browse to the directory of the unpacked driver files.
      Mark the INF file for the board to be installed and confirm with "OK".

  Under Windows 2000/XP:
    * Before installing the board unpack the driver located in
      <DVD>:\ME-Serial\me-9x00\win2000\ to your harddisk.
    * Install the board into the computer, following the description in the manual.
    * The hardware wizard asks for an appropriate driver.
    * Follow the dialogs of the Windows hardware wizard
    * Select the option "Search for a suitable driver for my device
      (recommended)" and click "Next".
    * Browse to the directory of the unpacked driver files.
      Mark the INF file for the board to be installed and confirm with "OK".

  Under Windows NT4:
    * Browse to the directory <DVD>:\ME-Serial\me-9x00\me-9x00\winnt\.
    * Run me9x00sys.exe

  Under Windows 95/98/Me:
    * Before installing the board unpack the driver located in
      <DVD>:\ME-Serial\me-9x00\win9x\ to your harddisk.
    * Install the board into the computer, following the description in the manual.
    * The hardware wizard asks for an appropriate driver.
    * Follow the dialogs of the Windows hardware wizard
    * Select the option "Search for a suitable driver for my device
      (recommended)" and click "Next".
    * Browse to the directory of the unpacked driver files.
      Mark the INF file for the board to be installed and confirm with "OK".

- Reboot your computer.

- Test the function of the board by the test program.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
