Application note for install POSTouch driver on NetMos PCI serial port under Linux

Cause of the NetMos PCI serial port cannot be auto install by Linux,
 please follow the below step to install the POSTouch on NetMos PCI serial port.

1. Please install the NetMos serial auto install procedure.
   It will auto setting the Serial Port on ttyS4 and ttyS5 when Linux booting.
   
   Install procedure:
   
   Get NetMos driver in .Common\Netmos\Linux\v1.0
   
     Install NetMos Driver
       1.Unpack tar.gz package file :
        #tar -zvxf  v1.0.tar.gz

       2.'cd' to package directory :
        #cd v1.0

       3.Execute the setup.serial script :
        #./setup.serial
   
2. Install the POSTouch driver
   Install procedure please reference the ReadMe.txt file.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
