1) INTRODUCTION
The following ReadMe file contains information on how to install and use
Connect Tech's RTX (Version 6.5.1) BlueHeat Serial Driver for Windows 2000\XP.

2) INSTALLATION INTRODUCTION:
This package contains serial drivers for use with Connect Tech's
   BlueHeat multiport serial boards.

The Connect Tech BlueHeat features compatibility with standard
   16x50 multiport serial cards.

For a more detailed description of our products please visit our web site at:
   http://www.connecttech.com

3) DRIVER INSTALLATION
The BlueHeat driver file is Rtxbheat.rtss. Each BlueHeat board requires a separate instance of the driver.
Launch the driver by specifying the boot option using 'rtssrun' utility provided by RTX.

Rtxbheat.rtss takes arguments for IRQ and port naming scheme. "rtssrun Rtxbheat.rtss -h"
will show argument options. These options are:

-Q IRQ of the BlueHeat Board
-S Sharable IRQ in RTX, 1 for TRUE, 0 for FALSE
   -P Port index for naming
   -h help

For example, if there are two boards in the computer and one board has IRQ 17 and another board has
IRQ 18, the driver will be run as follows:

   rtssrun rtxbheat -Q 17 -S 0 -P 0

   rtssrun rtxbheat -Q 18 -S 0 -P 4

Each board has dedicated IRQ therefore -S follows 0.

First board with IRQ 17 starts from port index 0, this is a four-port board so the driver will create the
   following port names:

   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial0
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial1
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial2
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial3

Second board with IRQ 18 starts from port index 4, this is a four-port board so the driver will create the
   following port names:

   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial4
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial5
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial6
   \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial7

The 'P' option is very important and requires that the value passed does not overlap with previous port
names otherwise the port will not perform properly.

The 'rtssrun rtssview' utility by RTX will show the driver processes and port names.

4) DRIVER OPERATION
The BlueHeat driver creates port name \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial0, \RtDevice\BlueHeat\Serial1 etc.
The driver will be accessed by the exported API defined in ctirtxserial.h. The application
will link ctirtxserial.obj file included in the package for the exported API.

The package contains a sample Visual Studio project to operate the driver.
