1. Introduction:

   These Ethernet drivers for Windows for Workgroups 3.11 conform to 3Com/
   Microsoft Network Driver Interface Specification v3.0. It supports Micro-
   soft Windows for Workgroups v3.11 enviroment.


2. Contents of the Subdirectory:

      PNPND.386       The NDIS3 driver.

      PNPND.DOS       The NDIS2 driver.

      OEMSETUP.INF    A setup-information file for installing the Ethernet
                      NDIS driver under Windows for Workgroups 3.11.


3. Installation

  * Take the following steps at the first time you set up Windows for
    Workgroups on your hard disk:

    1) Select "Network Setup" from Windows Program Manager's Network group.

    2) From the "Network Setup" window, select "Drivers..." button.

    3) When the "Network Drivers" windows shows, choose "Add Adapter..."
       button.

    4) From the "Add Network Adapter" window, select "Unlisted or Updated
       Network Adapter".

    5) When the "Install Driver" window shows, insert the Ethernet Driver
       Disk to any floppy, for example A:, and then enter "A:\WFW311" and
       select OK.

    6) From the "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" window, choose
       "ATI AT-2000PNP Ethernet Adapter".

    7) After Windows for Workgroups has read the driver, the "ATI AT-2000PNP
       Ethernet Adapter" window will be displayed again.

    8) From the "Network Drivers" window, select the "Close" button.

    9) When returning to the "Network Setup" window , select "Continue".


  * If the Windows for Workgroups has been installed and you want to change
    the network adapter to AT-2000PNP Ethernet Adapter, follow the procedure
    described below.

    1) Select "Network Setup" from Windows Program Manager's Network group.

    2) From the "Network Setup" window, select "Drivers...".

    3) From the "Network Drivers" window, select "Add Adapter..." button.

    4) From the "Add Network Adapter" window, select "Adapters".

    5) From the "Network Adapters" window, select the "Remove" button to
       discard the previous settings.

    6) Select the "Add" button.  When the "Add Network Adapter" window is
       displayed, choose "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter".

    7) When the "Install Driver" window shows, insert the Ethernet Driver
       Disk to any floppy, for example A:, and then enter "A:\WFW311" and
       select OK.

    8) When the "Unlisted Or Updated Network Adapter" window appears again,
       choose "ATI AT-2000PNP Ethernet Adapter".

    9) After Windows for Workgroups has read the driver, the "ATI AT-2000PNP
       Ethernet Adapter" window will be redisplayed.

   10) From the "Network Adapters" window, select the "Close" button.

   11) When returning to the "Network Setup" window, select OK.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
