spi530.txt Driver File Contents (CCC3x4x1_21drivers.zip)

The spi530.exe utility is used to determine what printer ports are available
on your system. This utility replaces a number of previous utilities like
emurst.exe, smcmode,exe etc.

When you execute spi530 with no options you will get the following
help screen.

Option explanation
-------------------
spi530 -h      // Help (shows the options)

spi530 -p xxxx // Specify the host I/O port.

spi530 -e // Examine the ports available on the PC and hopefully
               // find one that works.

spi530 -r // Resets the port (same as emurst)
               // Must have power on the XDS510PP and target board.
               // This option will also print out extended diagnostics
               // if there is trouble resetting the emulator.

spi530 -nsc    // Replaces nscmode.exe.

spi530 -tosh   // Replaces tosh.exe.

spi530 -smc    // Replaces smcmode.exe.

spi530 -dadd drvpath\drvname // Add\start NT driver. The driver flags
                              // will be set for automatic startup.

spi530 -ddrem drvname // Stop\remove NT driver. Do not include
                              // .sys in the drvname

Notes: For new PCs try to set the port for ECP or ECP+ (SPP8 or EPP)
        if available.

        The spi530.exe utility and low level emulator software generate a
        log file named SdEmuLog.txt. Following is an example:

        ***** Spectrum Digital Inc.   *****
        ***** www.spectrumdigital.com *****
