2611CB3 PLUS (Deluxe) Firmware Upgrade Guide

WARNING: 2611CB3 PLUS & 2611CB3 PLUS (Deluxe) firmware are NOT interchangeable.
         Make sure that you upgrade the correct firmware. Refer to the bottom
         of the device for the model number.

* Note down the current version of your firmware. Click on the "System" on the left menu bar, 
  and then verify "Bridge Firmware", "WLAN Primary Firmware" & "WALN Secondary Firmware"

Follow the steps below to upgrade the firmware.

You must reset the hardware to the factory default settings before you begin
the upgrade process. 

1.  Unplug the device, hold down the reset button, and then plug the power back in. 
    Notice that the LAN LED is flashing. Release the reset button after 5 seconds.
    The device will then reboot into its default configuration (192.168.1.1)
    Note: This step is mandatory and will reset the device to its factory 
    default settings.  (All previous settings will be lost.) 

2.  Change your computer's IP address and subnet mask to the following: 
      IP Address: 192.168.1.10  
      Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

3.  Successfully Ping 192.168.1.1

4.  Launch the web-browser and connect to the device using its default IP address:
    http://192.168.1.1 

5.  To Login, leave the username and password fields blank. Click on the OK button.  

6.  Click on "Admin" on the left menu bar, and then click on the "Switch" button to 
    switch to AP mode. 

7.  Once the switch has been completed, refresh the page. 

8.  Extract the firmware folder and then double click on "Do1.bat". Watch the LAN
    & WLAN LEDs flash for a few seconds. It will then stay lit.

9.  Unplug the device and then plug the power back in. Wait for 10 seconds. 

10.  Successfully Ping 192.168.1.1
    
11.  Double click on "Do2.bat". 
    a) If your WLAN Primary firmware was less than 1.0 you will notice both the 
       LAN & WLAN LEDs flashing. Then the LAN LED will stay lit.
    b) If your WLAN Primary firmware was 1.0 or greater, you will notice that only
       the LAN LED is flashing. Then the LAN LED will stay lit. 

12.  Unplug the device, hold down the reset button, and then plug the power back in. 
    Notice that the LAN LED is flashing. Release the reset button after 5 seconds.
    The device will then reboot into its default configuration (192.168.1.1)

13.  Successfully Ping 192.168.1.1

14. Launch the web-browser and connect to the device using its default IP address:
    http://192.168.1.1 

15.  To Login, leave the username and password fields blank. Click on the OK button.  

16. Click on the "System" on the left menu bar, and then verify "Bridge Firmware".
    This should display the following:
	AP Firmware:                  2.0.0
	WLAN Primary Firmware:        1.1.1
	WLAN Secondary firmware:      1.8.0
	WLAN Tertiary firmware:       1.3.8

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
