<What is Multi-Function Station ?>

Panasonic Multi-Function Station software enables the unit to carry out the following functions:
-Printing on plain paper, transparencies, labels and envelopes
-Scanning documents and converting an image into text with Readiris OCR software
-Scanning from other applications for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) that support TWAIN scanning
-Storing, editing or erasing entries in directories using your computer
-Programming the features using your computer
-Sending, receiving fax documents using your computer


<Hardware Requirements for Multi-Function Station>

To use Multi-Function Station, the following hardware is required.

<Installing Multi-Function Station>

1.Start Windows and exit all other applications.
* For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to install Multi-Function Station.
* If the unit is connected to a computer before installing Multi-Function Station, the [Found New Hardware Wizard] dialog box will appear. Click [Cancel] to close it.

2.Insert the included CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
* The [Choose Setup Language] dialog box will appear. Select the desired language that you want to use with this software from the drop-down list. Click [OK]. The installation will automatically start.
* If the [Choose Setup Language] dialog box does not appear:
  The installation will automatically start.
* If the installation does not start automatically:
  Click [Start]. Choose [Run...].
  Type "D:\setup" (where "D:" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive). Click [OK].
  (If you are not sure what the drive letter is for your CD-ROM drive, use Windows Explorer and look for the CD-ROM drive.)
  The installation will start.

3.After the setup program has started, follow the on-screen instructions.

4.After the [Setup Type] dialog box appeared, select the installing option.
* If you select [Standard], Readiris OCR software and Device Monitor will also be installed.

5.After the [Connect Type] dialog box appeared, select the connecting option.
USB:
  Connect the unit with the USB cable after the [Connect Device] dialog box appeared.
  * If the unit is connected to your computer, the model name will be automatically detected.
Network (LAN interface models only):
  Select the unit in the LAN from the list.

6.Click [Install].
* The files will be copied to your computer.


<Modifying the software>

You can select the components to install or uninstall anytime after the installation.
For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to modify Multi-Function Station.

1.Click [Start], then select [All Programs] or [Programs]->[Panasonic]->[KX-FLB800_FLM650 Series]->[Uninstall or Modify].

2.Select [Modify] and click [Next].

3.Select [Modify Utility] in the [Modify] dialog box, and click [Next].

4.Select the check of the components you want to install.
* If you want to uninstall the specific components, remove the check of them.

5.Click [Modify]. The modification starts.


<Adding Printer Driver>

-In case of adding a printer driver of the model which has been already installed.

For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to modify Multi-Function Station.
If you add printer driver by the USB connection, please execute the following instructions before you connect the unit.

1.Click [Start], then select [All Programs] or [Programs]->[Panasonic]->[KX-FLB800_FLM650 Series]->[Add Printer Driver].

2.Follow the on-screen instructions at installation.


-In case of adding a printer driver of the other KX-FLB800/FLM650 Series models.

For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to modify Multi-Function Station.
If you add printer driver by the USB connection, please execute the following instructions before you connect the unit.

1.Insert the included CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
  The setup program will start.

2.Select [Modify] and click [Next].

3.Select [Add Printer Driver] in the [Modify] dialog box, and click [Next], then follow the on-screen instructions.


<Deleting Printer Driver>

You can delete the printer only.
For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to modify Multi-Function Station.

1.Click [Start], then select [All Programs] or [Programs]->[Panasonic]->[KX-FLB800_FLM650 Series]->[Uninstall or Modify].

2.Select [Modify] and click [Next].

3.Select [Delete Printer Driver] in the [Modify] dialog box, and click [Next].

4.Select the printers you want to remove.

5.Click [Delete]. The deleting starts.

Note:
* You must leave at least one printer driver.
  If you want to delete all printer drivers, refer to the Uninstalling.


<Updating Multi-Function Station>

If you have a newer version of Multi-Function Station than installed one, you can update it.
For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to modify Multi-Function Station.

1.Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. 
  (When you have downloaded it from the support web page, double-click the [Setup] icon.)
  The setup program will start.

2.Select [Update] and click [Next], then follow the on-screen instructions.


<Uninstalling Multi-Function Station>

For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to uninstall Multi-Function Station.

1.Click [Start], then select [All Programs] or [Programs]->[Panasonic]->[KX-FLB800_FLM650 Series]->[Uninstall or Modify].

2.Select [Uninstall] and click [Next], then follow the on-screen instructions.


<Troubleshooting for installation/uninstallation>

MfsCleaner is installation support tool. 
If you can not install or uninstall Multi-Function Station, please use it.

For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 users, you must be logged in as an administrator in order to use MfsCleaner.

1.Insert the included CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

2.When the setup program has started, click [Cancel], then click [Yes] to quit the setup.

3.Open the folder "D:\Tools\Uninstall".
* Where "D:" is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.

4.Double-click [MfsCleaner] icon.
* The [MfsCleaner for KX-FLB800/FLM650 Series] window will appear.

5.Click [Clean], and click [Yes].
* Your computer will restart.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
