3) DFlex / Xtreme DRIVER INSTALLATION:

   Installation consists of performing the following steps:
   1. Boot the computer without the DFlex/Xtreme board installed.
   2. As administrator access the Hardware Wizard at:
       Control_Panel->System->Hardware->Hardware Wizard
   3.  Select Next
   4.  Select Add/Troubleshoot a device then Next
   5. After the computer searches for devices, select
       "Add a new device" then click Next
   6. Select No, I want to Select the hardware from a list then Next
   7. Select Other for the device to install and then Next
   8. Select "Have Disk..." then Next
   9. Browse or specify where the INF files are. For Example a:\win2000
       or c:\temp\ or where ever they are placed.
   10. Select Cti_df2k.INF then click Open
   11. Select OK at the "Install From Disk" Dialogue box.
   12. Choose the appropriate board type from the list given. Then click Next.
   13. The install will warn that it cannot detect the settings of the device.
       This is normal for a non PnP board. Click OK.
   14. The Install will show you various choices. The first one it displays is
       the default for the board (except for the IRQ). The driver requires an IRQ
       to be used and usually IRQ 10 is a good choice. Pick settings that show up
       without conflict. In some cases you may have to juggle the settings of other
       boards in the system to get the best fit for the system. Click OK when you
       have selected your settings.
   15. The computer will ask for a reboot and the ports should be working. This can
       be verified by looking for ! marks beside them in the Device Manager.

   Caution: Windows 2000 may tend to get confused as to the location of the
   driver files and may ask you again where they are located. Simply tell the
   Windows 2000 once again where the INF files are and the installation will
   continue.

   Windows 2000 will now "detect" and install all the DFlex/Xtreme ports into
   the system. This process takes about a minute. When it is complete you will
   be prompted to reboot, so do so.

   When the system reboots the new serial ports will be named appropriately,
   starting at the first available COM port slot. They can be found in the
   Control_Panel->System->Hardware->Device_Manager->Ports section.

   The new DFlex/Xtreme Serial ports should be compatible with all Windows 2000
   serial applications, for example Procomm Plus, RAS and so on.
