    This README explains getting printer status to use this plug-in
    from user location.

    1. Sample program
    =================

    This CD include VB/VC sample program for "How to get status".
        VB: win\SDK\LanguageMonitorSample\x86\vb
        VC: win\SDK\LanguageMonitorSample\x86\vc++

    Each sample program use default printer queue name.
    When you change your printer queue name, please change queue name
    which you named, instead of default queue name..
    
    <VB>
    Input printer model name (*1) at the 3rd line from the end in Module1.
        STLM_REG_PATH

    <VC++>
    Input pirnter queue name (*2) at the 8th line of vcsample.cpp.
        SMJPRINTER_PRINTER_NAME

    Input printer model name (*1) at the 9th line of vcsample.cpp
        SMJPRINTER_LMPLUGREG_NAME

    (*1): Printer model name is as follows.
            "Star TSP800L Peeler (TSP828L)"
            "Star TSP828 UPS"

    (*2): The printer queue name is a printer name in "Printers and Faxes"
          folder.

    NOTE: In case of using Windows7 and Vista, please run sample program as a
          administrator.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
