-- HOW TO CLEAN INSTALL   
   1.Unzip the package files. 
   2.Double click the SETUP.EXE to run install.
                          
-- HOW TO OVER INSTALL    
   1.It is the same as clean install.

-- HOW TO SILENT INSTALL
   1.Run SETUP -s    

-- HOW TO UNATTENDED INSTALL
   1. Run in silent mode.
	SETUP -s  
   2. Forces a system reboot after the installation completes.
	SETUP -s -b
   3. Suppresses the display of the license agreement screen.
	SETUP -s -nolic  

-- HOW TO VERIFYING THE INSTALLATION OF THE SOFTWARE

    For Graphics Driver:

   1.  Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and then click on properties.

   2.  Click on "Hardware" Tab, permit the DirectX Builder to run by selecting the "permit" button 
       and select "device manager". 

   3.  Select "Display adapters". The Intel Graphics Driver should be listed.
       If not, the driver is not installed correctly. 

    For HDMI Audio:

   1.  Click on "Hardware" Tab and select "device manager". 
 
   2.  Click on the "System Devices". The Intel HD Audio HDMI Audio Function Driver should be listed 
       and not yellow banged. If not, the driver is not installed correctly. 

-- HOW TO IDENTIFYING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER
   
    For Graphics Driver:

   1.  Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and then click on properties.

   2.  Click on "Hardware" Tab, permit the DirectX Builder to run by selecting the "permit" button and 
       select "device manager". 

   3.  Select "Display adapters" then Double click on the graphics controller shown.  

   4.  Click on "driver" tab and note the driver version.

    For HDMI Audio:

   1.  Double Click on "Intel HD Audio HDMI Audio Function Driver".

   2.  Select the "Driver" tab and then click on the "Driver Details" button.

   3.  The function driver (intchdmi.sys) version should be listed on this screen.

-- HOW TO UNINSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
   NOTE: This procedure assumes the above installation process was successful. 
   This uninstallation procedure is specific only to the version of the driver and installation files
   included in this package.

   1.  Click on the "My Computer" icon, then click on the "Control Panel" icon, and then click on the 
       "Add-remove Programs" icon.

   2.  Select on the "Intel Extreme Graphics Driver" tab and then click on the "Remove" button. 

   3.  Click on the "OK" button and then click on the "Yes" button to reboot.

-- SPECIAL NOTES OR RESTRICTIONS/CAUTIONS:

   The software should be installed on systems with at least 1GB of system memory.
   There should be sufficient hard disk space in the <TEMP> directory on the system in order to install this software.

     Microsoft Windows* Vista Installation Instructions:

   1.  Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and then click on properties.

   2.  Click on "Hardware" Tab, permit the DirectX Builder to run by selecting the "permit" button and depress the 
       "device manager" button. (NOTE: IF UPDATING DRIVER GO TO STEP 3B)

   3a. Double click "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)". (Go To STEP 4)

   3b. Select "Display adapters" then Double click on the graphics controller shown.  

   4.  Click on "driver" tab and select "Update Driver".

   5.  Select the following option: I don't have the disk. Show me other options?, then choose "Brows my computer for 
       driver software (Advanced)". 

   6.  Select the following option: "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
  
   7.  Click on the "Have Disk..." button and then the "Browse" button.

   8.  Enter the directory where you unzipped the file you downloaded, and then enter the "Graphics" subdirectory.
       Next enter the "longhorn" subdirectory. Highlight the "igdlh.INF" file. Click on the "Open" button. 

   9.  Click on the "OK" button. A window listing all of the available display types should open. 
       Select the display adapter that your system contains and then click on the "Next" button. 

   10. Click on the "Next" button. The operating system will install the driver.
       Click on the "Finish" button when done.

   11. Click on the "Close" button and then click on the "Yes" button to reboot. The driver should now be loaded.

     Intel HD Audio HDMI Function Driver (IntcHmdi.sys):

   a.  A Found New Hardware Wizard will popup for the HDMI Audio Codec. Note that you may see two new hardware wizards 
       as one may popup for the HD Audio codec on the motherboard.

   b.  If you are updating the driver, just right-click on the HDMI function driver in the device manager and in the 
       'properties' page select "Update Driver".

   c.  Do not connect to Windows Update to search for software and click "Next".

   d.  Select "Install from a list or specific location" and click "Next".

   e.  Select "Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install" and click "Next".

   f.  If asked for the device type, Select "Sound Video and Game controllers" and click "Next".

   g.  Click "Have Disk" and navigate to the directory with intchdmi.inf and intchdmi.sys.

   h.  Select intchdmi.inf and click "Open", click "Ok".

   i.  Select "Intel HD Audio HDMI Audio Function Driver" and click "next". 

   j.  Click "continue anyway" on the warning regarding Windows Logo.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
