Release Highlights: 
* Addresses 3945ABG radio disable seen with some systems running with Bluetooth modules
* Addresses 3945ABG radio disable seen in some 802.11a environments after Standby or Hibernate
* Addresses installer upgrade behavior where Windows Vista Preferred Networks would be lost
* Addresses installer interaction with InstallShield Update Manager causing an unwanted prompt during installation

Known Issues:
* Those desiring to downgrade from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.0.0 must first uninstall 11.1.1.3.
* Those using Quickset must upgrade to version 8.0 or higher.
* The 3945ABG may have poor performance with 5 GHz Wireless-N networks using 40 MHz channels with upper channel expansion.
* Fails to connect using 802.11a with Proxim AP2000 with 1st Generation 802.11a AP cards with AP firmware higher than 2.3.3.
* WiFi Catcher(TM) functionality not supported with Intel 4965AGN on Latitude D420, D620, D820, Precision M65 and XPS M1210, but may appear in Quickset WiFi Catcher Configuration.
* Forced downgrade of device driver only can cause PROSet/Wireless applications to behave incorrectly such as Manual Diagnostic to fail the Hardware Test.
* Connection attempts reporting as failed using WEP with 3COM AP model 7250, but connection actually succeeds.

Important Information:
* Release does not support Cisco Client Extensions.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
