End-User License Agreement


IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY: This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal Agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Corsair Memory Inc. and any of its affiliates and/or subsidiaries ("Corsair") for the CA-HS1 software driver which may include associated software components, media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic documentation ("Software"). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, you are not authorized to install or use the Software.

GRANT OF LICENSE

This Software is licensed, not sold. It is the sole property of Corsair and is protected by all applicable intellectual property and contract laws, including, but not limited to laws relating to patents, copyrights and trademarks, and by applicable international treaties and trade provisions. Any breach of Corsair's rights as the sole owner of the Software and all intellectual property rights contained therein may subject the offender to civil and criminal penalties, including fine and/or imprisonment.

This EULA grants User the non-exclusive right to: install and use the Software upon a single computer. In no event, however, shall User be permitted to (a) use the Software on a networked basis or (b) redistribute the Software, whether for commercial gain or for no gain.  Any use in violation of the license shall constitute not only breach of this EULA, but a violation of national and international copyright laws. In the event that any provision of this EULA is breached by User the license granted by this EULA shall automatically terminate without further action by Corsair, and you shall have no further right to use the Software.

RESTRICTIONS

You must maintain all copyright notices on all copies of the Software.  You may not distribute copies of the Software to third parties. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.  You may not create derivative works of the Software; any derivative works created shall be the property of Corsair and may not be used by you or any third person without the express consent of Corsair.  You may not rent, lease, or lend the Software, but you may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA, provided that the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA and you agree to remove the Program from your home, business, or portable computer.

FREEWARE LICENSE
This Software is being distributed as Freeware. It may be freely used, copied and distributed as long as it is not sold, and if copied and distributed all of the original files are included, including this EULA. You are NOT allowed to charge for distributing this Software (either for profit or merely to recover your media and distribution costs) whether as a stand-alone product, or as part of a compilation or package, without explicit prior written permission by Corsair. By using this Software, you agree to these terms and the terms of the Disclaimer below:

DISCLAIMER
This Software and any support from Corsair are provided "AS IS" and without warranty, express or implied. Corsair specifically disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the Software remains with the User.  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Corsair be liable for any damages, including but not limited to any lost profits, lost savings or any incidental or consequential damages, whether resulting from impaired or lost data, software or computer failure or any other cause, or for any other claim by the user or for any third party claim.

TERMINATION

This License shall remain in effect only for so long as you are in compliance with the terms and conditions of this EULA. This EULA will terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms or conditions. You agree, upon termination, to destroy all copies of the Software. The Limitations of Warranties and Liability set out below shall continue in force even after any termination.

EXPORT RESTRICTIONS

The Software may not be re-exported, downloaded, or otherwise exported into (or to a national or resident of) any country to which the U.S. has embargoed goods, or to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Commerce Department's Table of Denial Orders. By installing the Program, you are agreeing to the foregoing, and you are representing and warranting that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any such country or on any such list.

COPYRIGHT
Except where stated otherwise, all of the documentation and software included in the Software package is copyrighted by Corsair and is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties.

PLACE OF JURISDICTION AND GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California in the United States.  Any dispute shall be settled in the courts of California and the language of proceedings shall be in English.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
