NOTE: The file BT_HCRP.exe is beta software.  BT_HCRP.exe is not an official 3Com software 
release.  


IMPORTANT: BT_HCRP.exe was designed to resolve a specific issue related to Bluetooth HCRP printing.  This 
file should only be used with the 3CRWE6096B and 3CREB96B Bluetooth adapters in system running 
Windows 2000 or Windows XP.  This file should only be used if you are experiencing problems 
with HCRP printing in Windows 2000 or Windows XP.  Do not use this file if you are not experiencing problems with HCRP printing.

Installation Instructions

NOTE: These installation instructions assume that the 3CRWB6096B or 3CREB96B and the 3Com 
Bluetooth Connection Manager have been successfully installed into a system running Windows 
2000 or Windows XP.  If you are having problems installing your 3Com Bluetooth adapter please 
visit www.3com.com and click on the link for Product Support.

1. Download the file BT_HCRP.exe onto the system where the 3CRWEB6096B or 3CREB96B adapter is 
installed.
2. Double click the file BT_HCRP.exe to extract the contents.  The default extraction location is C:\3Com\Bluetooth.
3. Once extracted double click the file BTupdate.exe
NOTE: The file BTmon.dll must remain in the same directory as the BTupdate.exe file when the BTupdate.exe is executed.
4. You will receive a message stating that you must reboot the PC in order for teh settings to take affect.
5. Reboot the PC

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
