Stellaris USB DLL (lmusbdll.dll)

The project found in this directory builds a DLL used by both the lmscope
and usb_bulk_example applications to read and write USB data.  It acts as
a thin wrapper layer above the Microsoft WinUSB API and is intended purely
to allow the applications to be modified, rebuilt and run on development
systems which do not have the Windows Device Driver Kit installed.

To successfully rebuild the LMUSBDLL itself, your PC must have the Windows
Device Driver Kit (DDK) installed in directory C:\WinDDK\6000.  If you have
used a different path, you will need to modify the project settings to
change the include path appropriately.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
