Adrienne Electronics Corporation Dec. 2008 PCIe-TC software CD file set: INTRODUCTION: All PCIe-TC time code board models are complete. The production is starting to get underway on the several models and availability should be soon on all of the models. Most everything you should need software-wise is on this disk. Please read these instructions carefully. BOARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Use these instructions only for this CD release. The plan is that this may change and be updated with later CD revision. The CD file set will be available for download from our web site when complete in addition to being sent with each card. Note that there is a 'userman.pdf' file included here, but it is for the prior PCI-TC devices. There are some differences in the PCIe-TC models, but we have NOT yet completed the new user manual. Ask us questions specific for your needs until then. Here are some notes to take into consideration as you get started. 1) The new PCIe cards are plug and play. The cards should plug and play THREE or FOUR TIMES!. (There are four devices on the one interface chip. We only use one of them, the others are also part of the chip set but are not used). As we are using an interface IC to communicate with the time code circuit that is being used differently than it was originally designed for, please do the following to speed up installation and to override Microsoft's automatic selection of a device driver (incorrectly so). See the other text files for details regarding the driver installation. I will be updating the CD file set distribution periodically for the PCIe-TC product line. There are a few other text files in the several directories that you will want to read. See the "XP_PC clock setting" directory for the instructions on setting up the service software that will set the PC's clock to match the time code. Feel free to give us a call with any questions. It may be much quicker than email, but email is also good.
