The initialization program to set up the automatic time code generation to match the PC clock is "AecClockGen.exe". This program will allow the "PCI-VITC/GEN" and "PCI-VITC/RG1" (any of our PCI models with generator) to generate the USER data as Mo:Dy:Ye:ar . See the "HELP" when running this program. I am attaching the "AecCGSvc.exe" file that the is mentioned in the "HELP". This program (run from a command line) allow what settings are currently in use when the button "OK (Save/Exit)" is selected to be automatically used on bootup of the PC. Let me know if you have any questions. Here is the process to set up for automatic operation. 1) Install the board per your OS. 2) Run the program "AecMfc32TimeCode.exe" to see if everything is running ok. You may need to copy the "Aec_nttc.dll" file to the "system32" directory (this is the best location to copy this file for "full" access from anywhere a program runs on the PC). 3) Run "AecClockGen.exe" and make/choose setting that you want and choose "OK" to exit. 4) From a COMMAND LINE - Run the attached program "AecCGSvc.exe" and then reboot the PC. You shoud see the generator start automaticall on reboot. (you could run "AecMfc32TimeCode.exe" to verify. More details about "4)" above: Only the Microsoft OSes that are NT based support the "automatic" startup of programs that run as "services". I tested the program that I sent to and everything works fine. Be sure that when you run "aecclockgen.exe" that you set it up the way you want and then select the "ok" to exit. This causes the settings to be saved in the registry. Create a new directory on the C: drive: "Aec_gen". Copy the file 'AecCGSvc.exe into this directory. Open a "COMMAND prompt" window and change to the "Aec_gen" directory. Run the following command line (ie: from "c:" do a "cd Aec_gen", then do "AecCGSvc -load" (enter). Another way to say this is at the promt "c:\Aec_gen>" enter the following then press the enter key "AecCGSvc -load".) It has been a while since I went through this. Sorry for the bad instructions. It is very important that you do NOT just click to run this program as you will NOT be able to insert the "-load" command line option. If this option is not inserted when first run, the registry will not get the setting written that will force the program to run when the computer boots up. I think that if you run the program from the "command prompt" (START/PROGRAMS/Accessories/Command Prompt) it will tell you to run it with the "-load" option. You can also run with a "-unload" if you want to remove this service. You can also change the start value from automatic to "manual" in the "service control" pannel applet (control pannel/administration tools). This will keep it from starting automatically. If you just run the program by "double" click, it will run, but it will probably run in such a way that the "command prompt" window opens, the program executes and then the "window" immediately closes. You will not be able to have time to read the "info". Please let me know if this gets you up and going. You can also use the "-help" command line option to get the info that I expain above.Download Driver Pack
