The Vision diagnostics transform filter can be used to observe the 'Capture Pin' time stamps as presented on the Vision source filters output pin.

For 32bit operating systems:
Copy visiondiag.ax into your %SYSTEMROOT%system32 directory.
Run the command console prompt with administrative permissions.
Type "regsvr32 visiondiag.ax", click "OK" in the message box to successfully register the interface.
Attach your source to input 1 on your capture card.
Open graphEdit found within your DXSDK\Bin\DXUtils folder.
Insert a Vision capture source filter.
Open the "Pin Properties", right click the pin at the side of the filter.
Select your preferred frame rate, the default is set to the current input signal frequency.
Select your preferred colour space compression.
Close the "Pin Properties" dialog.
Insert the "Vision diagnostics transform" filter, "Graph->Insert->Filters->DirectShow Filters->Vision diagnostics transform".
Hold the left mouse button down over the Vision diagnostics transform filter output pin and connect to your preffered Renderer.
Select "Graph->Play".
Right click the "Vision diagnostics transform" filter and select "Filter Properties" from the context menu.
A running result for 'Capture Pin' time stamps diagnostics is displayed within the dialog.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
