(I) Application notes and tips
Windows 95/98/Me/NT4.0/2000/XP

1. Since the maximum file size available for Scanning differs with each application and operating system, there are cases where the PC application will not be able to execute the scan, displaying the message
"An error has occurred while acquiring the image."
Workaround:
If this should occur, try and reduce the total image size with the resolution setting.
For example, if scanning an A4/Letter original in TrueColorRGB mode with an MS Office application, please set the resolution to 800dpi or less.
2. Description of UI restrictions
The following table shows which functions can (O) and cannot (X or /) be used together.
Those marked "X" appear when the other is selected but are grayed-out, whereas those marked "/" do not appear at all when the other is selected.

3. Description of Orientation in filters tab.
Some applications can't support the orientation function in filters tab.
If you can't see the correct image, scan the image without rotation and then use the image application to rotate the image.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
