[2] Limitation/Notes in using DDST printer driver

   (1) Limitation/Notes in printing
       [Windows functions]
    * If virtual memory on a Windows operating system is set lower than usual,
insufficient memory errors will occur and drawing operations in
applications or printer drivers will not perform properly.

Documents might not print correctly or the following problems might occur:
        - Low memory warnings.
        - Application errors.
        - Printing discontinues without warning.
Increase the memory setting for virtual memory, and then start printing.
if this is not helpful, add additional memory to the computer.

    * If a Separator Page is selected, some documents may not print as expected.

    * Please do not change the "Driver" settings on "Advanced" tab.

    (2) Limitation/Notes on Bi-directional Communication
    * Please do not uncheck the "Enable bidirectional support" on "Ports" tab.
    * Please do not block the UDB port 49999.
When the printer is connected via network, please do not block the port
4999 of the UDB protocol for in/out traffic. You may not be able to
print with the printer if this port is blocked.

    (3) Other Notes
    * An extra page is added to the end of odd-paged duplex jobs. the added
page might be incremented in the printer's counter.

    * Depending on amount of the memory installed on your computer, printing
might take longer from an application. Also, an operating system running
on insufficient memory might cause an application to discontinue
      printing.

    * General protection violation error might occur depending on the specific
environments and the type of the printed data.

    * If the document size is reduced with the printer driver's scaling
function, part of data might not be printed correctly depending on the
      application.

    * Printed result of gray patterns might be different from that on the
      screen, depending on the application.

    * Part of image data on the screen might not be printed depending on the
      application.

    * Depending on the application, there is a possibility that Print Settings
made on the print setting screen of an application will be lost after
printing. Therefore, make sure to specify or confirm print settings
      before printing.

    * When printing with "Layout" or "Reduce/Enlarge", line thickness might be
different depending on the drawing position.

Paper types that must be set in a unique direction in the tray (opposite
direction than usual), such as envelopes or prepunched paper, might be
printed in 180 degree rotation. To change the direction, please use
      "Rotated by 180 degrees".

    * When selecting "Color" from "Color/Black and White" setting in the
"Setup" tab, black and white document may be printed as a color job,
depending on application or data. If you want to print a document in
black and white, select "Black and White" in "Color/Black and White"
      setting.

    * If the printer driver's printer name or the port name is very long, some
application software may be terminated when the printer is selected or
the printing is started. In order to avoid this problem please use the
shorter printer names and port names.

    * When the "Gradation" setting in Print Quality tab is set to "Speed",
Duplex printing is off, and the Paper Type is "Plain 1", the printing
      speed may be reduced.

    * In the Accessories tab or Paper Size tab, if the accessories, Input Tray,
or Paper Size is not updated after clicking "Update Now" button, please
click the "Update Now" button again.

    * If you turn "ON" the check [Ignore Application Collate], a setting of
      [Collate] function become effective.

    * When printing for Collate Printing with Microsoft Power Point, please
turn "ON" the check [Ignore Application Collate].

    * When you set up an IPP Printer, please set
"http://<Printer's IP Address>/ipp/port1" as Printer URL.
