[1. Main Features of the Applications]

  This application provides a wide range of management of the printing
  systems.



[2. Operating System Requirements and Notes for Installation]

  - Please update your operating system with the latest Service Pack 
    in order to maintain reliability.
  - With some printing systems,  this application is unable to communicate 
    via LPT port.


  2-1.  For the Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 operating systems

  - Administrator rights are required for installation.

   <Notes when connected to USB or LPT>
    - If you are connected via USB or LPT, please verify that a
      Extended driver has previously been installed.
      The application cannot be used if a Extended driver has not 
      been installed. 

   <Notes when connected to network>
    - Please verify that TCP/IP or the IPX protocol is installed.
    - You cannot print or delete jobs with an IPX connection.
      IPX will only display the list of jobs.


  2-2.  For the Windows XP x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition, 
        or Windows Vista operating system

  - Administrator rights are required for installation.
    To install the software, right-click setup.exe and 
    click "Run As Administrator".

    Q: Cannot open the application.

    A1: Are you using an older version of Microsoft Internet Explorer?
        If so, please update to Microsoft Internet Explorer to 5.5 or
        higher.

    A2: The software does not support the following operating systems:
        Windows 95, 95 OSR2, 98, 98 SE, Me, and Windows NT 4.0

    A3: This application may have failed to install.
        The application may not have been installed properly.
        Delete this application by using
        Microsoft's Windows Installer Clean Up utility 
        and retry installing the application.

    Q: Cannot connect to printing system.

    A1: If the printing system is connected to USB or LPT:

        Extended driver must be installed.
        With some printing systems, this application is unable 
        to communicate via the LPT port.
        The software may fail to communicate with the printing system 
        via USB or LPT if the printing system is processing a job.

    A2: If the printing system is connected to a network:

        When connecting a printing system to a network, the TCP/IP or IPX 
        protocol needs to be installed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
