TSCOM - Touchscreen Version 7.3 Driver BuildIn for Windows XP Embedded

NOTE: To install the TSCOM driver after the Windows XP Embedded system startup,
      read "TSCOM_XPE_Setup.txt" file.

To build in the TSCOM driver to the Windows XP Embedded run-time image:

1) Installing the TSCOM Driver BuildIn Pack.

   Run Install_BuildIn_Pack.exe to install BuildIn Pack to "C:\TSCOM_XPE_BuildInPack_V73".
   
2) Importing the TSCOM component into the Component Database

   . Open Component Database Manager in exclusive mode.
   
   . On the Database tab, choose Import. 
   
   . Choose the button on the right of the SLD file box, locate to the TSCOM BuildIn Pack
     installed path, and select the TSXPECOM.SLD file.
     
   . Make sure the "Copy repository files to repository root" check box is selected.
   
   . Choose Import.
     The progress and any errors that occur during import are displayed in the Results text box.
     
   . Choose Close.  
		
3) Adding the TSCOM component to your Configuration.

   . Run Target Design and open your Configuration (.SLX) file.
   
   . From Component Browser Window, locate to the following path:
     Hardware -> Devices -> Mices and other pointer devices -> TSCOM Touchscreen
     
   . Right Click on "TSCOM Touchscreen" and choose Add.
   
   . Run Check Dependencies ensure that all the component dependencies have been resolved.
   
You are ready to build your run-time image and then deploy the run-time image from your 
development system to your target device.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
