Description
===========

This software package contains a Windows 2000/XP driver for
Sumix SMX-150 Series USB2.0 Camera.

Installation
============
If you are installing DirectShow driver for the first time simply run the
SMX15WDM.EXE aplication. It will install the SMX-150 Series Camera
DirectShow driver automatically. After warning about 'not digitally-signed
by Microsoft' press 'Continue Anyway' button.

Notes
=====

1. To be sure you are always using updated driver repeat the above sequence
for EVERY USB connector where your camera is used. Windows remembers and
loads different versions of driver on different UBS connectors for the same
device (camera, for example).

2. To prevent white "flies" and shifted rows appearence on the camera picture
validate that each IDE device uses DMA/UltraDMA transfer mode on your PC.
In PIO (Programmed Input Out) Mode, the CPU gets involved in transferring
the data from or to the storage device to or from system memory through
the input or output ports. In DMA Mode, the job of transferring the data
is handed over to a bus-mastering system controller called the DMA controller.
The DMA controller is set up or programmed to handle the DMA transfer.
This relieves the processor from the duty of preforming the data transfer
so it can do other tasks.
