These diskettes contain the ASN.1 agent description and mib files. The agent description file is lp_x_y_z.prf, where x.y.z is the release number. This file provides a description of the SNMP agent support for the various mibs using the RFC1303 MODULE-CONFORMANCE macro. All supported LANplex MIBs are located in the directory "mibs\snmpdefs\baseMibs". In addition, there can be up to four directories that contain versions of the mib files that can be successfully imported or compiled by the product associated with each directory: (1) hpov (2) smic (3) mosy (4) snm The directories only contain those files that are different from those in the baseMibs directory. If a directory is missing or empty, then all MIB files from baseMibs can be imported or compiled using the compiler associated with that directory. In addition, some directories have a NOTES file. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
