			About ASUS Remote Console
Introduction

The ASUS Remote Console (ARC) is an efficient and
flexible application that allows monitoring and control
of the remote host. The remote monitoring and control
feature is achieved via the ASMC-LE management card
installed on the remote host. When the remote host is
connected to the Internet, ARC can check and display
the condition of certain remote host properties including
fan rotations, system temperatures and voltages. ARC may
also perform recovery functions when the remote host is
on some emergency status.

ARC has the following functions:

1. Viewable remote host sensors
ARC displays the sensors on the remote host allowing
users to know the type of sensors installed and their
corresponding threshold values. These sensors monitor
the remote host fan rotations, CPU and environment
temperature, system voltages and others.

2. Real-time sensor status
When a sensor in the remote host detects a breach on
the default threshold values, the ASMC-LE generates a
System Event Log (SEL). ARC will poll the SEL from the
remote host and will display it when the user want to
view them. With this function, users can keep track of
sensor properties and perform precautionary measures to
prevent system or component from damaging.

3. Detailed sensor information and thresholds
ARC lets users view detailed information on existing
sensors and allows them to change the sensors threshold
values.

4. Remote control and recovery functions
ARC allows users to reset, power up and shut down the
remote host.

5. ASF2.0 functions support
If the remote host only support ASF2.0 protocol, we can
also monitor and control it.
